Opal Rain Vase

Double-fired to achieve the layering flowing glazes, this is another inspired piece from observing water and Earth. How water splashes on soil and catches the light - it's never monotonous. How specks of iron in clay surfaces through the firing process while the "water" or glaze element captures the myriad of color hues : lavender, turquoise, sky blue, and how crystallization occurs in the overlapping glazes. All these interesting outcomes in one vase!
