KELSON ANG

My pottery journey began in the year 2016.

It started out as a "give it a go" hobby class, and now it has become an integral part of my life. A huge portion of my time is spent on studying and looking at ceramics, even when I'm travelling. Sharing knowledge and ideals in pottery  making with fellow ceramists from different backgrounds and pottery disciplines help me grow as a potter and as a person.

The style of my work is distinctly scaled towards refined forms and clean silhouette. However, I am also constantly exploring the many different forms of expressions in pottery art.

I enjoy making functional work. It gives me a sense of fulfilment, knowing that they are being used. Some of my commissioned work include a series of ceramic tableware which I have developed for the following restaurants here:
Populous Cafe
Waa Cow (Marina One)
Analogue @ Chijmes
Maison Shuku
Panguim Restaurant
Odette Restaurant
Alma by Juan Amador

More recently, I have shown my works at the Asia Japan Art Festivals, 2021 and 2022.
