Pottery Classes

Pottery Classes

Interested in learning Pottery? Dreaming of playing with clay and getting your hands dirty? Then Pottery is your thing. Watch the magic unfold when you turn the wheel. Let the clay soothe and center you, as it gives wings to your expressions. Join us for hand building and wheel throwing courses and take home your creations.

Pottery courses at Wheel of Clay Studio are designed to cater to all levels of experiences - beginners who are touching the clay for the first time, as well those who have been working with clay for a while. The studio is fully equipped with wheels, kiln, various types of clays and glazes as well as tools required to learn the process.

The studio also houses a beautiful gallery, featuring works of various artists and guest artists from The Other Potters. Surrounded by these beautiful ceramic creations and working in a very calm and serene studio, unleash your creativity, learn new skills, relax and have fun.

The classes are conducted by Shweta Patel and our guest Potter Latip Hussain. Shweta runs her own studio and has been working with clay for over 10 years. Wheel Throwing is her forte and she loves teaching experienced potters to throw bigger vessels. Latip is a very experienced ceramic artist and teacher. His pottery adventures have taken him to Australia, New Zealand and Japan where he gained a deep insight of the art of pottery making. Despite working with clay for 18 long years, he envisions it will take him another seven to eight  years to master the craft of pottery making.
